BASIT – WINNER OF FEED FOR LIFE SCHOLARSHIP

MEET BASIT RAJI – WINNER, FEED FOR LIFE FOUNDATION- IWAYA EASTER FEST SCHOLARSHIP.

Basit was born on the 4th of April, 2008, into a family of 7. He attends Ahmadiyah Primary School, a public school located at Iwaya. He proudly represents his school at various competitions where he comes out at the top. 

Due to financial instability, his parents sent him to live with an aunt, a petty trader at Iwaya to support his Primary Education. According to his father who is currently struggling to get a job, the family has no plan for Basit to continue his education.    

Basit won the competition out of seven other contestants with a 98% score. The debate topic was “The Influence of Parents’ Education and Financial Income on the Achievements of their Children”. He also took part in the Spelling Bee where he scored 93%. 

According to Basit, he would like to become a Medical Doctor so he can save poor people from dying due to the inability to pay hospital bills. His hobbies are: playing soccer, singing, reading and making new friends.

In September, Feed for Life Foundation will start a 6-year journey with Basit through the foundation scholarship scheme
